Hello, I'm Claire
I'm a project manager, a parent, and an expatriate living in Paris, France.
A few years ago, I moved here with my family. What began as a short-term assignment gradually opened a new chapter of life abroad.
The Beginning
Moving to France wasn't in the plan for the long term. Like many expat relocations, it started as a job opportunity and soon grew into something far more substantial.
The initial several months were demanding — unfamiliar systems, new routines, higher expectations. Daily tasks seemed more complex than they needed to be.
The Adjustment Period
There was culture shock, some doubt, and plenty of learning on the fly. Gradually, routines took hold. We found places that fit us, connected with other families, and began creating something that felt secure.
Why I Built Bright Nest Echo
Most online guidance fell into either corporate relocation tips or shallow tourism content. What was absent was an honest, everyday family viewpoint.
This site aims to fill that gap — practical advice drawn from real life in France.
What This Site Is (And Isn't)
This site IS:
- Real-world experience from living in France
- Centered on family life and daily realities
- Updated when something truly changes
This site ISN'T:
- Not a tourism authority resource
- Not a platform for sponsored reviews
- Not a generic travel blog
Looking Ahead
We’ll continue our time in France and the learning journey goes on. As long as the information remains useful, I’ll keep documenting what we discover.
If you have questions about family life in Paris or anywhere in France, please don't hesitate to contact me.
Best regards,
Claire
